Over 20 years of capturing the great, the good (and the just plain odd), has given me a body of work of portraits of some of the most important and influential individuals you could ever meet. From Tony Blair and Prince Andrew to Benazir Bhutto and Pavarotti. No two days are ever the same and I can sometimes be found shooting in corners of hotel rooms, up ladders by ceilings, or attached to the side of an aeroplane..
I've photographed people for magazines, TV, advertising and annual reports. I've been shouted at, had people laugh (and cry) and occasionally squeeze me with joy.
Several of my images are now held at the National Portrait Gallery, whilst others are winners of the Portrait of Britain competitions in 2016 2017 2018 & now 2019. Recent awards include the 2018 Portrait Salon & 2018 BLPA. I picked up several wins at the Creative Pool Annual 2019 to cap a great year.

Prince Andrew/Newsnight interview: Well, it's one thing being called the night before to a mystery job; it's quite another when the location and subject were revealed. The front cover to almost every main newspaper in the world for a few weeks. Phew! Good job I own the copyright.
Wow, after making the final edit for three years on the trot, I have made the edit of winners of the 2019 Portrait of Britain Award, for the published book version (and not the digital displays).
Strangely, this was an image shot specially for the competition-something I've not done before . Planning next year's entry as we speak..
WIN! My Liberty Choir brochure picked up a Bronze Award and People's Choice in the Creative Pool Annual 2019, as well as an Honorable Mention in the Portrait Section of The B/W Spider Awards. My thanks to Caz Roberts and Ginny Dougary for all their help with this.
There's nothing better than when a layout adds to the shot and I think this is one if those times. Jess Phillips had tattoos on her feet, which is unusual for an MP, so I wanted to find a way of seeing them despite the small space we were working in. They also gave the layout a shape to work around especially on a DPS.
This is an article on the National Portrait Gallery acquisition of my Jacob Rees-Mogg image which hung in the gallery until Jan 2019.
The passing of Johnny Hallyday was a moment of national grief for France. Many magazines made use of images that I took of Johnny on a visit he made to London. I particularly remember his entrance to the hotel room-even if you had no idea who he was, you would know that he was a star.
Having been variously, a Nominee and Winner over the last five years, one of my images of 'Mad' Frankie Fraser, has been selected as a Nominee for the 2019, 14th Spider Awards in the USA. I wish more of my work could be seen (and shot) in black & white.
